Talking Stellwagen Cod

Had a great day fishing east of Stellwagen Bank with the Paul Schrader party from Long Island, Ny. What a great group of guys and trip we had. First of all yesterday with the Steve Bowen group we hamered large cod on both jigs and bait. Steve took the honors with a 42 LB steaker on a teaser while a nice 15 LB fish clobered the jig. The group ended up limiting out on large cod and also landed over a dozen large haddock. What a day it was provideing the party of four with plenty of fillets for friends and family.

Today we went back where we did well yesterday and nada, fish not eating but showing on machine. I steamed all over looking for haddock and cod and all I could mange was rats. Late in the day we found them again and we limited out on large cod slamming the bait and the sole angler using a jig. All the fish were in the 15 LB range except for three steakers over 30LBS. This group ended the day with a tote of nice fillets.

What a day to be out there on the water. If anyone is interested in a charter, please don't hesitate to e-mail me at www.relentlesscharters.com

Thanks and have a good night.

Dave
