Bad accident at Mashpee Herring run

There was a very bad car accident today on Rt 130 at the entrance to the Mashpee run. Three vehicles involved and six people taken to the hospital. One in critical condition. Say a prayer or two for all involved. |

				 | People gotta "wake up" when they are behind the wheel....I had the same thing almost happen to me last night! Woman realized I was stopped making a turn at the last moment and curbed the hell out of her tires going around me!!! Just missed clipping my rear end! Cell phones, putting on make-up, this kind of madness must end when people are driving a deadly vehicle!!! Hope all recover...very sad! |

				 | Luckly or unluckly depending on how you look at it, I was at the run getting herring when the accident occured. When I ran up with the others from the run I did not realize it was my wifes cousins untill the father got out of the Pick up and just looked at me in shock but OK. I got his kids out and helped them the best I could untill EMS arrived...There were as many off duty as well as on duty rescue workers that arrived on scene....Just as quick to arrive were the two TV camera guys, taking film and getting in the way. Also gotta luv the gawkers walking into the accident scene just so they could get a close up look of those injured....
To all that Helped....THANK YOU.......Please continue your prayers for the little boy and his family.......

				 | Man that just sucks.
From an early morning father and son ride to little league game to this...in just a split second. Life is so fragile, and so unpredictable.

Prayers to all the families involved.
