How about we let John randomly pick the winner based on members who enter. Thanks for the opportunity Mike.

Hmmm - good idea Mike!
Tobias, welcome back, again. You always seem to show up for the first few weeks before the herring arrive at Watertown and then yer gone for the year - how are things going?
GS - historically, you have the worst luck but you gotta give some time for Canaratt's Golden Sinker Award to work it's MOJO for ya ...
Let's hear a good idea for this contest - Liam has picked the last couple (and I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing it again) but let's find a new twist...

Maybe auction them off here in 10 threads and give the dough to John to help run the site.

While I like the idea of some free lures, Slip's second idea is pretty good too.
Mikecc, I think having your daughter pick the winner is fair.

Put all the names of the guys who haven't one anything at all (that excludes me) yet into a hat and draw the names. I trust anybody to do the drawing honestly.

MIKE thank you for such a great donation. And I think they should go to the first to catch a tagged striper this year! And since I got one two weeks ago with GS in CT. I will be down to pick them up SAT. am. And since it was GS boat we used I will let him have one.

I have been reviewing the thread and my thoughts are that John should Auction them off and put twards the site.
It does cost a lot to keep the doors open for all of us to drop by.

I just got a chance to recheck this thread, where as we could certainly use the dough - I do like Swimmer's idea on having people toss in $5 for a "Chance" with the proceeds going to American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Fund. I think that's a cool idea and I'd buy a few chances myself. Swimmer, how would that best work?
Thanks,
John

I think both are very worthwhile ideas (collecting for the site or the Breast Cancer society). Count me in for a couple of "chances" either way.

Just a suggestion if that's what you want to do, maybe this weekend's show is the perfect place to do it. Any chance Mike can get you the stuff to display on the table, run a raffle with the proceeds going to the charity and I'd certainly take a percentage for yourself and the board John.
I'll throw in a couple bags of plastic, not that the stuff ever works .

I suggest you spilt the money 50 -50 Half for Breast Cancer and Half for the site.
JohnR, you could if you wanted to set it up in your booth this weekend and anybody who couldn't make it could send the money to you or whoever so that its fair for the people who can't make it to the show.
Just a suggestion and it will help both great causes!!!!!

How about half going to a board contest, and the other half going to a raffle at the S-B booth! Might raise more money for the site that way.
By the way John, are the jean shirts gonna be available this weekend?
