surfcasting question

Hello,

I have a 10 foot surfcasting pole without a reel seat (use electrical tape to secure reel) and I'm thinking about buying a Van Stall reel. I like that the model 150 is only 12.5 oz. Any suggestions.

My guess would be you want to know if it is the right size?? Well no, get a 250 for a 10 foot pole the 150 is to small........
