How well do your plugs stand up to bluefish?

A couple of weeks ago I did some fishing in an area with a mix of bass and blues. After 5-6 blues and 3 or 4 bass, the fish had stripped the epoxy off the last inch of the plug. Is that normal wear& tear or does it indicate a problem ???

Against bluefish? I guess they hold up about as good as anything against the toothy ones.....but I hate epoxy so I am trying some auto urethane and am still testing to see how it holds up....one thing for sure...it won't be coming off in chunks!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!
