Clammer--Not sure where they're out of. But they were pushing subscriptions at the Springfield,Ma. Sportsman's Show. They were always mostly for the landlocked stripers but said they were gonna start putting alot more emphasis on saltwater----so far they've been good to their word.

Yup, it's us on the cover - but I haven't got my copies yet - can't wait to see the magazine, although I've already seen the cover layout.

Got a call from Pete Brown, the editor of Striped Bass Magazine a couple of months ago after meeting some of the staff at April's RISAA show - he was interested in using some of our images and curious about the history behind them. Although Pete and I haven't yet met personally, he's a helluva nice guy and producing a great mag devoted entirely to striped bass.

They're out of Florence, SC but they've been covering stripers throughout their range, both fresh and salt. If you guys get a chance, check it out, it's a good read - they've had articles by well known names (to us in New England) like Tim Coleman, Jim White and an excellent young writer, Joe Lyons - well, younger than me, anyway

The most interesting thing about Striped Bass for me is taking a look at different techniques and observations from other fishermen around the country.

And if you go to their site, I think you'll also begin to realize the importance that other states place on their recreational striped bass fishery and the money and effort they spend on it - it's pretty amazing.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words, you guys -

And yeah, Vic, I'd be happy to autograph the cover - just so long as you don't mind if I sign it in eel

Congrats Chuck & Johanna, that's great news. I had dropped by when I was in the area but no one was home. Still interested in the print. I stopped at the Striped Bass booth at the RISAA show and the guys were telling me the plan was to have two issues one for the landlocked and another for east shore surfcasters and boat guys. That gave me an issue that had a good article on Narragansett Bay and also an interesting article by Joe.

Hey, InTheSurf - sorry we missed ya

and let us know which version of the Gamefish print you want - the New England version or Rhode Island one that we did for the Governor.

We've been doing an Open House for the Gallery every weekend now for the season, Saturdays and Sundays noon to 6 - and if you bring Mrs ITS, we'll hit the surf for some quality time at sundown, so stop by - the # is 847-9030.

Thanks, Vic - it gives us all something to aim for!

Hey, BW, I may be in your "backyard" real early in the AM - my sister-in-law is in town with her kids so I'm gonna take 'em out for a dawn patrol - and we'll see what we see
