GOOSEBERRY

after many failed attempts at gooseberry i have finally had some luck with pluggs. took the wife and kids with me...figured it wold be fun for them. so i started way out a the point walked out to the farthest rock i could reach without going over my pack and 3rd cast in i picked up a 17 inch striper... nowi know this is not a cow but it broke my dry spell out there. after more casts amd an incomming tide almost stranding me out there on that rock i decided to move down the beach back to the car. out at the point on the north side i picked up about a 8 pound blue which was just icing on the cake for me.

the down side is that something bit me on my upper thigh and i havent been able to walk for 2 days now. got it looked at today and got some meds... hopefully i wont miss this weekend

IM BACK FROM THE HOSPITAL...YIPPP EEEEEE

ok i gotta tell my story.

after my first post i got meds took them for a day and went to DR's on friday with the bite about 3 times in size. i got a shot in the butt and told to come back on sat morning. sat morning i hop back to dr's office with bite 3 tims as big as it was day before so i spent saturday till today(monday morning) in hospital with nafacillin being pumped into me every 4 hours. not fun! it has finally cleared a bit and i can start to put pressure on my leg but i have had the worst vacation in my life. i got to fish on saturday and tuesday then i was off my feet from wed till today and i have to go back to work tomorrow I think the worst part is that they still have no idea what bit me. there was no stinger or puncture holes. oh well hopefully hunting season will be a bit more productive for me.

scott

P.S. how was the cookout this weekend in wareham?

Milo, did you make it back out? Next weekend should be great. I still can't believe the dog got spooked and I had to carry her off that ledge.
