Selling Boat?

I'm trying to sell my boat and not having much luck, I tried the Projo, Trader and Isoldmyboat.com, Do you think I should take the hit and give it to a broker?
Who or what else do you guys recommend? I hate to see it sit another winter.
Thanks, Dave

What's the disadvantage of using a reserve on ebay.

The other disadvantage to a reserve price is that auctions with reserves tend to get fewer bids. A better strategy may be to go with no reserve and have the starting price be just your absolute bottom price. That way any bid will "win" and your worst case is seliling at your bottom price. Be sure to figure in the ebay costs when coming up with your "starting price"

I haven't sold any big ticket items this way but my borther sold a Harley Fat Boy and a Corvette ZR4 this way - worked out well for him both times.
Good luck

plus people know you ain't joking. it's gonna be sold at the end.
more bids, mean more looks, mean even more bids, etc...
start it at 100 bucks w/ 100 dollar incriments.
you can back out up till the last 12 hours if you need to.
you can cheat with link to pics in the discription. ie: photobucket.com hyperlinks.

I sold my 98 Seaswirl Striper in the spring on bestboatbuys.com. I used them because their business is in New England and would do better with local buyers. I also figured I could sell it for a little less because I was saving the brokerage fees and would still be ahead. She sold in about 3 weeks.

I would also put the boat in some high traffic areas so passers by can stop.

I hope this was helpful.

Regards,
Dave
