I was thinking more about skin jigs. I can alter a smilin bill mold real eazy. Not a big deal to change the shape of the front to what we want.

Sorry to but in on your post, I got you 4 more towel racks and will probably get more before I see you again. Those little ties, I got 20 bags of 100 for you. Thats 2000 ties, and they should keep you busy for awhile.

Saw an add in this month's On The Water for some sort of artificial stuff that is cut up as strip trailers. There is also mention at the bottom of the ad that artificial eelskins are available as special order.
deja vu

You can buy "artificial eel skins" at CVS , no special order. They are conveniently packaged in boxes of a dozen individually wrapped. They even come in different colors!

GO, Smokey. Thinking about skin jigs is almost a religious experience, isn't it?
BTW, you won't believe the size of the eel skins I picked up Sat on my way back to my office after the MSBA show was over. I don't know where the skinner got the eels, but they must've been ferocious.

JPowers , Those sound like they are big enough for skin plugs , not just jigs. Those size skins are very much in demand.

You guys want BIG eels? I was in a chinese grocery yesterday in Quincy, and they had live eels for sale.....I was getting hungry..... , they were like what I used to catch sometimes in Jersey and Powder Point fishing for flounder....a good 2" diameter and about two feet or so long.....of course they were being sold for eatin. but if you like eel, skin 'em, fry em up, eat um and save your skins....only draw back is they were $4.99 a lb.....and probably ran 1 1/2 lbs and up.......

...speakin of Eels, here's something different to try....
.....I was chunking one night.....and the bloo~fish were hungry!!...just about out of bait, and what do I nail???...a Conger Eel....after wrestling with that baby for little while....as I didn't have the proper Conger Tonger... .....I subdue him.
....After I run out of bait, I start to plug......it then gets quiet. I start thinking.... ...which always means trouble...
...next thing ya know, I'm cutting chunks off the Conger....
..... and CATCHIN' FISH!!!! .....
...Congers make a tasty meal, but on that night....I wasn't ready to go home...

... it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

Just as long as doctor did it instead of Clamdigger's "fish loser", snip, snip...
