Mechanics gloves

Has anyone tried mechanics gloves for fishing?
They look to me like they might work but I'm to cheap to spend the 10 or 11 bucks to test them, then again even in feburary I always end up taking mine off and fishing without them for steelhead.

Don't know what kind of fishing you are doing but for me a use some finger less flease gloves for ice fishing only time my hand get cold are the walk out and the walk back. THomT
