Fisherwoman? Any news on...

Any news on the Plymouth power plant? And more importantly, are you planning to head down?

I'm in dire need of a few hours out of the house and was thinkin' I'd try out that fishin' thing I keep hearing about. Supposed to be pretty fun....

Talk to ya.

Hey Schoolie Monster, I talked to a friend of ours last week, yes the power plant is open, it will be open until the 27th of this month. He was doing pretty good down there until the fire and then they had to shut the plant down, so no water was coming out of the outflow. I haven't been down there yet, may check it out this week if baitcaster wants to go, if not I may go down on Friday or Sat, what is your schedule like, let me know!!! I could use some arm pulling need to check the tides, it is supposed to be pretty cold, but who freakin cares, thats why they invented gloves!!!!!

My schedule is pretty clear this weekend. Especially, if this is the last weekend that the area will be accessible.

I'm interested in going either friday or saturday... and the weather doesn't really concern me too much. I've got some cold weather gear. I've been known to brave the elements for a few bass.

My email address is gjohnsto@bu.edu. If you want to give it a shot, email me and we can discuss details, etc. I'm game for a little post-turkey day fishing.

Talk to ya.

Access by boat is always open, and you guys could talk me into a trip, lol. Let me know if your interested, Saturdays open for me, but it really depends on the wind/waves.

Tight lines.

I haven't talked to Fisherwoman yet, but I might be interested in a trip out.

I have your email address, so once I know what I'm doing, I'll send ya a message.

Dude, how bad do you wish it was June. Just from seeing a few of your posts, I know you're dyin' to get the new boat out a few more times. This winter is going to seem like an eternity!

Talk to ya later.

Schoolie Monster, you have no idea how hard and long this winter is going to be. Not only that, we are due for another hard winter, so if I have to shovel snow like I did a few winters back, man I'm going to have a severe case of cabin fever.

Looked at www.marineweather.com and the waves height in the area is 5-10, so this weekend might not work out for that reason alone. Much as I want to see how it handles in the big pond, I don't want my first trip out to be that rough, lol.

I may take a drive over on Friday just to take a look outside, assuming I can get away from all the family stuff. If not saltwater, then I will be heading to the cape to go after some deep water smallies.

Tight lines.

Yeah, I'd say 5-10 footers are a little rough, especially at these temperatures. You're bound to get a little wet and going into the drink is not an option.

That's cool. I'm still planning on a couple of shots at the Thames River in CT. Its a couple hours away, but a few successful trips down there could get me thru the winter.

I'll let you know how that works out for me and if successful, maybe we can hook up down there.

Tight Lines.

Someone on another board mentioned 50-100 fish days this time of year on the Thames. Where in CT is it located and any specifics on the location of a boat ramp in the productive areas. I'd be willing to drive a couple hours if it meant getting a shot at those numbers.

I refuse to say die this season and intil the water turns hard, I'm going to keep fishing. Be interested on any info on the Thames, tight lines.
