good day fishing

well i hope everyone took advantage of the good weather and went fishing. i i did and it was a real good day ..mike b. and i left at 7 am on his boat AVE MARIA we started at boston light. small fish then to graves again small fish then around the B bouy. and bingo we hit them nothin huge. we had fish up to 10lb. but every fish was at least 6lbs. his nepheu was with us too. we ended up with 25 keeper cod between the three of us. we also caught around three doz throw backs. it wasnt bad out there at all a little windy on the way in. oh yea keep one thing in mind. the coast guard was out there doing check ups. make sure you have all you safety gear before you head on the water this year. they told us alot of the boats they pulled over this year do not pass inspection. so think safety. lets hear how everyone did today well gotta go eat some fresh cod yum yum

It was a great day to get outside. I left my house this AM at 7:45 and got home at 9:30pm. was waiting for me, but I'll take my beating it's worth it.

bassmaster and I got into some twinkees. Started on castmasters and more on jerkbaits and then tried those new Storm wildeyes.HOLY COW those things were being inhaled by bass not even 7" longer than the lure. Got a bass on the first cast with it so you know that's a good sign. I ended up with about 20 and BM got 45-50. Then striperman comes by as we were leaving, he had been there earlier and got his first bass of the season also He ho'd a few plugs and gabbed for about an hour then we headed for home. Long day for me but it was great to get a bend in my new Loomis. Next time I will try the new Saltheart custom-made Batson schoolie killer rod.
