Kayaks?

I am interested in hearing any feedback about what would be a good kayak for chasing bass out of. Primarily would be launching from beacheds on the north shore.

Thanks

Ross

NF, I have been kayak fishing in Long Island sound for 2 seasons now. It's not exactly the surf zone you will be fishing but the kayak I own is made for open ocean. It is a sit on top by Ocean Kayak, model scupper-pro tw. I enjoy it alot and have been comfortable in some pretty rough seas. You have to decide whether you want a sit on top or sit inside kayak, SOT's offer easier self rescue, sit insides offer warmth and a longer season. Check your pm's. Dave
