update and clearing house

Well guys and gals it is official. I am moving to Hawaii. Guess I will give up the qwest for stripers....but I am sure something out there will catch my intererest.

I just accepted the job and therefore I am selling everything including fishing stuff.

2 custom rods
1 1088 wrapped (by goose and finished by JohnR) spinning - never fished
1 1083 wrapped conventional, bought from Bud8Fan a year ago - stick has good mojo
1 7ft cortland (fresh water) schoolie rod - conventional

I also have a Tsunami and an ugly stick or 2

I also have a few bag and a bunch of lures - many/most are going to go.

IF anyone is interested, you can make offers now. Otherwise, I will try to make it to M&Ds for the leg on Saturday - and the stuff will be around for another month

Keep lines wet and tight in the pacific

Is the 1088 conventional? If so I'll take it. Oops, how much do you want for it?

Please either post some more info or email me some info and pictures if possible along with prices of the lures and bags. I'm very intersted in them.

Thanks

I have told several people my goal was to get $200, the least would be $150....

Since I have had 5 people asking the price ....is....$150 or best offer.

If I do not get an offer - I accpted the first offer of $150

Or maybe I am smoking the hawaiin pokololo early and it isn't work $150

Clammah...

I know there are fish there

I know this gear will work there

I will be back and may need to repurchase and ship back later....but until I am there and decide what I am fishing ....I am not paying to move.

I plan to boat and or kayak fish - 9fts are a pain in the ass.

also got a 100 or 150 quart color.

not the heavy duty marine quaility, but good fish holder / bait well for the sandsled.

did I mention the sand sled - 2000 suburban?

cooler - $15

There's definitely some giant bonefish in some parts of Hawaii.

I would think there are plenty of jacks running around as well.

Enjoy you are very lucky. I was born there and been back several times. Plenty to fish for and year round. I envy you as I think it is the most beautiful place in the world.. Paul

Damn, there goes a crew member that shows up with a box of Cheez-its, my favorite.

Good luck Tim, I'll wave to you once in a while from the ship when we pass by on occasion but we don't always get a chance to stop.

Which Island are you going too?

Take Care, Jon

Which Island Tim? My brother lives on the big island. He used to be on Ouahu, but bought a house and move a few years ago. Beautiful place. I've been to several of the Islands a couple times. Good fishing. Hate to see ya go, but you'll enjoy it.

IWK,
I've been there many times occasionally for an extended stay. Do yourself and keep the stuff. Once you get there you'll have to replace it at like five times the price, if you can find the same stuff at all. Do you still want the picture? If so, when are you moving?

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

I am moving to Oahu. Downtown Honolulu for now. I will be working for Hawaii Telecom.

Beamie - I will try to make the yearly pilgrimage during commerical season....and I will be bringing cheezits.

As far as tackle goes - I am not sure what I am fishing when I get there or what I will need. So I am letting other people take advantage of my good fortune for now. I really plan to get a boat and/or kayak and the 9ft rods just ain't going to cut it.

When I do decided I need different rods for Kayak, boat, and surf....well there is an excuse to fly back and visit this sites sponsors....or have them ship it to me.

I will miss everyone, but at least I have a way of keeping in touch.

Mike - I do want that picture more than ever. Right now I am leaving the week of 10/4 - but that is up in the air. If you cannot get it in time. Let me know I will get you the cash and enough to ship when I get my new address.

Anyone who wants to take a Hawaiin bound angler out on the Atlantic for a last fishing trip - lemme know

IWK,
the 4th is practically right around the corner. IMHO best bet is to wait until you get out there and then we'll do it. The cost of mailing it out there can't add more than a buck or so to the total.
You're going to want those 9 footer once you get into Ulua fishing out on the other side of Diamond Head.
