Fall Go To Lures for Rhody

Got a few days off coming up w/ nothing to do but fish.....Gonna spend a couple of days prowling the canal and a couple prowling around RI.

Other than Eels, what are some of your go to lures, and color Preferences, for Mid October down there?

If its a sensitive Subject PM's are always welcome....thanx

P.S. I know there aren't any fish in Rhody.

An afterhours Spookster, or the junior, i like white. One of my favorites is a really beat up nasty old gibbs pencil popper, its only good for about a half hour then it sinks, got major mojo.

Everything is better on the rocks.

For the $$, might as well go with the OG, real deal Tattoo design.
Darters and needlefish seem to be the most popular plugs on the beaches during the fall, esp. when the weather gets nasty or the wind is blowing tuf

If you don't have pencil poppers in your bag...you ain't fishing! Other than my own I am a huge fan of a Gibbs 1 ounce pencil....yellow w/red head...white w/red head....bucktail 5/0 siwash on the tail.....hammers fish all day long! No bigger than 2 ounce in my opinion! Afterhours junior spook is a blast.....Surf Howdys hammer.....dannies are a must for night time and work well in the right areas by day!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

isnt giving up what to use just like burning a spot ? everyone buys em up and there are none left for the rest . maybe Im wrong ????? now a "how to" is only a little better cause if everyone knows "how to" then we loose the edge luckily some cant read . plus there isnt anyone left to make fun of on the beach . no more upturned spinners . no more big lures with lead attached , kmart rods with 6# test , some casting into a foot of water cause they dont want to get there loafers wet and people catching rocks thinking they have the fish of a life time and fighting it for a while .

Actually if you go to the issue of OTW before the famous "spot" issue Joe Lyons tells you what to use... maybe for November OTW will have commuter buses to SoCo.
