Question Catching tog in New Hampshire?

I do all my saltwater fishing in new hampshire in Rye/portsmouth area. Iwanted to try catching some tautog but dont know what to use for bait/lure or what terminal tackle to use. any warnings on the fish i should look out for (like the striped bass and its dorsal fin)? and tips would be helpful and if you fish for tog in NH what are your tecniques/spots (if willing to give). any info on tog will be much appreciated, i need to get into some fish!!!!!
