DEER ATTACK PAPER BOY

i READ this story (CNN) about how the deer are so over populated
in Missouri...that they are attacking inocent kids and they have
to hire a sniper to thin out the herd.

But what's up with the Humane Society blaming the overpopulation of deer on hunters? Now that's just backwards. Contraception IS really expensive, and not 100% effective. Fencing is ridiculous. Sharpshooters, while they may be a less expensive option and do a nice thing by donating to food shelves, are still a cost to hire. Why not give out free licenses to hunters if they donate the meat to a food shelf? There would be no license revenue, but there would still be Pittman-Robertson money coming in from all the equipment sales. Seems to me that the people who create the problem are the humane society and other, ahem, organizations that don't like to use the most economically viable solution. Rant over.
