some leftovers
been back in the man cave again, finishing up some leftovers from last year before I start-up on some new stuff. Some modifications in store after fishing some of my stuff, some will stay as is! Live & learn as they say! but for now clearing out the old to make room for some new stuff! MikeCC....gonna need some parts,I'll be in to see you

how does one go about shaping them? belt sander. off center turning, sounds way past my skill level, thanks ed.

yes fishfearme, they are turned off center! not really that hard. just gotta go at it slow and carefull. Believe me if I can do it anyone can, I've only been turning for about a year. the rest of ya Thanks for the codo's!!

I like those leftovers. I wish I had some leftovers. I seem to cast mine into the water and lose them one way or another. I think I need to change the way I cast or be more careful.
I like the off center fishy look of those

xactly
when you have the shape of the body done & sanded, then you position the blank so its upright level , reposition the rear stock about an 1/8 inch .Then as it spin you remove stock from just one side giving you the inverted lookat that end. play around a little to figure it out , doesnt need a lot of movement.
