Your Stuck On A Deserted Island.......
Your ship has gone down along the Elizabeths off the New England coast..... ...no one was lost because it was a row boat and you were the only one on board! You swam ashore and managed only to save your fishing rod and reel and one plug! The plug bag with all of your own handmade plugs was lost and the only plug you came ashore with was built by one of the other members of this forum! If you could pick that plug to be from one builder here.....which builders plug would you want with you and which plug would it be....I want details right down to the colors!
Also...which of the Elizabeth Islands would you choose to be stranded on?

Its a tough call thats for sure.....because I am a huge fan of jointed plugs I would have to say if I could only have one other builders plug while stranded on a deserted island it would be Ryan Smiths jointed big eye swimmer in the mackeral color!
I would of course choose to be stranded on Cuttyhunk! And Gawd help anyone who tries to rescue me!

I'd have to agree with flap in that place/structure...
A hawg hunter pencil in my favorite (lost) purple would be a close second....

yup...but mine would be bunker and well...not jointed. Second choice would likey be an Afterhours Junior spook in Yellow/White. If I was stranded where I did most of my fishing last fall I would be OK with just that plug.
Afterhours,
Hopefully you will be at the upcoming shows with some of them. I need a yellow red head too.

After more consideration I think I would take Ryan Smith's jointed version if I could get my hands on one.

I like that plug because I'm still able to keep it moving in a stiff wind and rough water. It seems to work better than most other topwater plug in those conditions. I murder 'em on it in calm conditions too.

This is a tough one. first because I dont have too many member plugs and second I would drop the rod and reel and grab Jessica Alba who just happened to be on the ship. (hey it is hypothetical right, a man can dream) The three plugs I have caught the most fish on is a MAC pogie pikie, a bernzy yellow and white howdy and a guzz ballerina in green pogie. Mac's plug caught the biggest fish, Bernzy's plug caught a ton, but I would have to go with Guzz's green pogie. It can be worked on top and slightly down and it caught good size fish for a small plug. The only time it let me down was when I snapped it off in a strong outgoing tide never to be seen again. I have never been down to the Elizabeth's so I will say cuttyhunk.

Only place a Predator ever worked for me was the Elizabeth's. Something about those islands that agree with that plug. And, George, it will never happen. You can fish Nashawena and watch me from there, it's almost as good. ( nothing like peacefully casting along the rocks at just before sunrise, a mist hangs in the air and your all by yourself floating along plugging the rocks in your skiff when around the point comes a center console with a guy and his Golden Retrievr in it and he pulls up a hundred feet from you and he yells out, " Hey Shiraka!", get the f*ck off of my spot"! Nice.

Since most of my plugs will float, I'd gather them up is they wash ashore so I'd keep a sinking one so I'd have atleast one sinking needle, but that is not in you scenario so I'll start over.
Cuttyhunk shall be the island(I hope I have good hiking boots on), and if I get bored there(which may take a few years, I'd swim over to the next island at slack tide
Tough decision on one plug but Bernzy's howdy in yellow would have to be my choice.
A close second would be a large ballarina since I made one that does incredible things and is very fishy, but if it has to be another members plug I would have to go with tagger for one of his large ballarinas.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

Gibbs 2 1/2oz red and white polaris any day hence my name
But since ole stan wasnt a site member .......(to bad)
Ill take a PNG makrel nike just cuz if it isnt catching fish its shiny and will amuse me.
or mabey a hawg hunter cuz if the bass aint biting i can use it to kill squirrels them things is missles, but thats why god gave us rocks, ok so this is tough I suppose I can one of my dad's plugs as fire wood (he he hehe) well if i need it as survival tool too Ill take a Moriarty hawg hunter 1. Shiny 2.heavy for the squirrels 3. shovel for latrines and 4. most important Can be traded with natives for boat ride or a chief's daughter to install me in tribe as number 1 son in law then after 20 moons i will be chief and set up fishing lodge/casino and claim rights to tribal fishing spots.
to summarize Moriarty hawg
