Plugger's bash 06 Location thread
Results on our poll for the location of the 06 plugger's bash are: Cape - 11; Rhody - 24; and Montauk - 3. Tried to check the poll results a minute ago on the other site for the pluggers bash. Unfortunately, the Poll feature is no longer active, probably due to updates being done to that system. Soooo, I do not have exact numbers. Last time I checked, Rhody and Montauk were pretty much even in terms of votes with the Cape a distant third. Given the even counts on the other site and the wide margin for Rhody here on S-B, I think we can declare Rhody the winner.
Date wise, Sept 30 was ahead by a wide margin on both sites.
Soooo, Plugger's bash 06 will be on Saturday, Sept 30 in Westerly, Rhode Island. Hope to see you all there!!
Closer to the time we'll do a sign up thread. Probably try to get some additional info to people at that time too. We'll also look into what we might want to grill, and how we'll set that up.
For those of you who Rhody locals, we could use some volunteers to help show small groups of people around. We figure maybe splitting up into groups of 4-5 pluggers and hitting the beaches/rocks on the evening/night of the bash with at least one person familar with the area playing "guide" for the night. Just hitting the well know areas, not personal "secret spots". Answer here, or PM me if you would like to help.
We'll also look into doing some plug using demos there. Probably something we'll set up once we are there. Basically a few people showing how they use various plugs.
I'm sure there are plenty of other things we could do to make this the best bash yet. If folks have suggestions, feel free to present them.
Jigman

I'm gonna try my best to make it. The Plugger's bash is one of my favorite weeks! Why I even have a magazine with maps with Xs and arrows and checkmarks. I can't miss this year!!

Bernzy and I were talking about that very subject only moments ago That is definitely an important part of the logistics of the bash I have been assured that ample quantities will be there So, does this mean you'll be there to double check our stocks

I've had a few people ask about this, so just to clarify, the plugger's bash is for lure builders who post here . While we would certainly like to meet many more of the fine folks who are a part of this site, we have to keep this to the builders. This is one of the few chances that many of us get to talk one on one with other builders. I hope others will understand. Thanks

I'm thinking about swinging by Jersy on the way up and catching the last couple of keepers there. That way I would have something to show NIB when I make up to Rhody
