just starting out
OK guys and gals, I'm just starting out and couldn't be any more of a greenhorn so all info is greatly appreciated. I am going to Nauset Beach this sat night with a friend of mine (he's green too). Any advice as to where to start fishing out there, good choices for bait and setups? Thanks for any info!!!!

Fishing Nauset with Bait? Fresh Sand Eels would be a good choice using sand eel rigs sold at the bait shops. Fresh sand eels can be hard to find at times but they work. Frozen sand eels usually get too mushy and fall off the hook. Regular Eels are always worth a try too!

Nauset? Nothing was working at Nauset a week ago.
If you're doing bait, try sand eels on a fish finder rig.

I'd heard that eels were the way to go. Do you hook them through the jaw?? We went down there last night but no fish. How about hardware from the beach??? Rapalas? soft baits?

Hardware? Hmmmm... How about Bombers or Mambo minnows in 7 inch size and go with lighter colors (ie yellow) with strong moon or daylight and darker (like black) with no moon. Yo Zuri Mag Darters work good too but are expensive. And one of Bassmasters' favorites NEEDLEFISH.

try bombers in pink , pearl , black/purple and black/gold . The fish will be there this weekend . warmer water temps and wind coming out of the south the last few days . They should be putting on the feed bag .
