i got into some small bass and shad on sunday night. threw plugs, eels, and plugs with teasers. all they wanted was the small offering ahead of the plug. i did see alot of what appeared to be small silversides.

I have had good luck in charlestown breachway. Went sat. night
bait all over the place in the channel. Lots of tail slapping, I fished from shore from 7:00pm til 10:00pm used 4" shad storm lure.

Fished with DRUMCORPFAN Sat night at the Breachway also. All in all, it was an interesting night. I was attacked by a crab (bloo?) and caught a few rare treefish as well.

Rhody Update...

I was out at the Stone Bridge the other night & caught some small bluefish & schoolie stripers.

There were many different baits used, but the only effective one seemed to be the frozen mackerell...

But still, there was nothing of any substantial size being caught
anywhere

The more that I surfcast, the more I realize that I need to get a boat !

... or find someone who has one & doesn't mind a "tag along".!!!..

Quick question: Does anyone out there use Penn Reels?...

I picked up a Penn long beach series 60 reel recently, and was wondering if anyone else could tell me about this reel's performance.

The one I got is about 50 yrs old, and is is brand new & was
never used. The quality of this reel definitely seems to rival other reels on the market today.
