Fishing Reports...

everyone settle down... Now, I was just wondering.

I always read the fishing report. I find it entertaining. I use it more of a gauge as to how i did in the previous week. Was I out fished? (usually) Or did I put myself on more fish than the next guy (sometimes I get lucky). The one thing I don't do is use it as a guide of where to go, that's just plain dumb. Just curious if anyone else looked at it that way.

Same for me too, same with posts from this site, I jsut want to know if people are catching, and if I was way off in my strategy.

I sometimes look at it that way. I like to wee where else the fish were taken and to see if i did better than whoever writes the reports. I also like to see if there were any spotters present when I land a big fish and the report the next week says "Many fish in the 25"-35" range, but one 45" cow was taken off the breakwater." It gives you satisfaction that you had the biggest one there that day.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I look at it as old news! Fish are usually somewhere else by the time it gets to print. Worked in the projos color plant for years. When they sold it they didn't even tell the employees thanks!
