Another "Smelly Jelly" test ?

Ok- I started using smelly jelly on my soft plastics and other artificials last year and I am convinced it gives you and edge. Whether it attracts gamefish or hides human scents- well, the jury is still out on that one.

I recently gave my heering smelly jelly the "cat test". It's pretty simple, I put the container of smelly jelly in front of the cat (both opened and unopened container) to see it's reaction.

Results- the cat was not remotely interested in the smelly jelly. He wanted nothing to do with it, in fact, he walked away.

You would think there would be a favorable connection beween a cat's interest in fishy products and in heering scent.

Go Figure !

Leave an uncorked jar under the drivers seat of someones car you don't like on a hot summer day, you'll see a reaction...

Maybe not. A neighborhood cat that comes around here was not interested in real herring last year. Plus, cats are much smarter than fish.

Best regards,
