you would probably have to freeze your needlefish into one of those molds..

Me and some buds used to fish like that with a 3 man waterballoon cannon when i was in highschool.. we would cast normally but would chum with the waterballoon thingy..

I would never spend $1200 on something like that although I would on a VS and a couple of rods to go with it. But you gotta admit it would be kinda a kick to have that thing at a big beach get together. Just not with my $. Crazy

What a Tool !!!

What happens if your line wraps aroung the rod tip or hangs up on your bail? You end up with your gear being projected 20 yards in the surf. How long before someone ends up with a frozen bait up the poopa ? Seems to dangerous.

Free Caribbean Vacation

With all the "homeland security" forces runnin' around looking for work, I'm not sure I'd want to get caught with one of those. "Honest officer, it's not a rocket launcher it's fishing gear." Probably get you disappeared to Guantonimo for life...

Old school.
Do a search for the breeches buoy.
At one unit I was stationed they still practice setting up the breeches buoy.

Gimic,at least as far as I'm concerned.

Padre Isle surf guys might find it useful.More convenient than 'yaking your baits out.
