Frank,
I started using a Cabo last year and it has become my goto reel. Although I don't get out as much as some others (mostly weekend trips in the fall), I feel the reel has held up very well and, aside from some nicks and scratches, it is still working like it is right out of the box. The drag is great and I've found the reel doesn't require a tremendous amount of maintenance. I liked it so much, I bought a second Cabo this year. If you want to see one I can bring one of them to this week's e-board meeting.

GREAT reel. It's not a big fan of being truly submerged though, so if you're planning to use it as a surf reel just keep that in mind.
It will handle getting splashed by waves just fine. Smooth, potent drag. Makes a good small tuna reel as well.

This is my second season with the cabo 50 and it's still awesome! I got hit by a pretty good wave last year in a rip with a bluefish on and it went south for at least 20 seconds(seemed like forever) but I took it apart, cleaned it out and good to go. No problems.Great reel

Frank I got 4 Boca's. they are great reels. My only concern would be the finish. Otherwise the drags are great.
