Where is the Hooter, not Hooters . . .
. . . I know it is somewhere around the Wasque shoal but don't know exactly where or in what area, can anyone tell me in what general location it is at?

So Muskeget Channel is the "Hooter"?, only because the charts don't call the channel the hooter and I always wonder why it is called the hooter anyway.

One of the cans marking the channel is the Hooter. Named for the whistling noise it makes at night or in the fog.

The hooter is a navigation buoy located approximately 5 miles dues south of Wasque point.
