In a Slump
Not a single fish for me since coming home from Cutty......
Am I alone or are others having problems finding the fish? All has been from shore bt the way... hoping the kayak will help me break out soon!

I'm the same way! Nothing, I'm ready to go to my other fishing style.
HAND GRENADES!! They work all the time! Out in Greenwich Bay the other night. The fish finder was loaded with fish. Everything I thru was wasn't even looked at. I always get fish in this location, but, never seen it like this.

Its been really slow for me up there ross. Fished 3 nights last week for two fish total. Had a few fish the week before but nothing impressive. No bait = no fish.

Tried to christen the new rod this weekend...didn't work. No fish, meng. S-B should hire a shaman, and all the site members can get together and do a striper dance, kinda like a rain dance. I've tried everything else already -- different hats, parking spots, tides, currents, rods...I'm starting to feel like Nomar, all the stuff I gotta do to ensure the mojo.

The worst day fishing is better than the best day working. ...Wait a minute, my work IS fishing. Sweet.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday were all very good days in the local harbor with many fat fish. Know of a 43" 35 pounder taken. Sight fishing for some hefty cows using whole herring and a "twitching" technique worked quite well. My biggest was 35"- but 23 Pounds and very rotund- is that a word? For perspective, I caught a 40" fish that also weighed 23 pounds in June.
Sunday and this morning it has slowed to a halt...

I got skunked on Friday night from 1-5am using eels and trying multiple spots, but to my surprise, my buddy landed a nice 37inch fish on a red fin about 20 yards from where I was fishing! So that gives me hope. Wierd thing was, that was the only fish all night, couple of schoolies showed up arond dawn, but that was it...

Found a new spot and a couple in the low 20s tonight. First decent night in a while. Hopefully things will pick up as the moon gets darker. Time to squeeze in alittle before work
