Tackle and Tips

Hello all.

I've started this thread to see if I can get some answers.

Is there a special knot you use when tying a wire leader to mono? I've been using the standard "rapala knot". This works great in fresh water but salt mono is so thick that this knot is difficult to tie. Not to mention the swivel spinning back on you.

Thanks

Use a Palomar, it is much quicker, and easier to tie. Double the end of your line, and pass it through the barrel on the leader.
Tie an over hand knot, but leave it loose, you will now have a loop which contains the barrel, and a loop hanging free.

Pass the leader through the free loop, and pass the free loop over the other loop to the doubled up line.

Wet it up and cinch it down, cut the tag end.

Click the link below to check it out.

I agree with master specialist.
I use palomar all the time.
The force is strong with it..
