It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

Fairly big around here right now. Very Easterly swell though. The Western ends of the Aquidneck Island beaches is quite large, while the Eastern shores are very unimpressive.

Great for surfers up this way, even just two hours after high. Couldn't fish my favorite spots as the wash ran up thirty yards, and the third break was 150-200 yards out, and breaking there at 6 foot high. Supposed to start laying down soon......at least the NE has

“Americans have the right and advantage of being armed, unlike the people of other countries, whose leaders are afraid to trust them with arms.” – James Madison.

THIS AFTERNOON
SW WINDS 5 TO 10 KT. SEAS 3 TO 5 FT...LOWERING TO 2
TO 4 FT.

TONIGHT
S WINDS AROUND 10 KT. SEAS 2 TO 4 FT. A CHANCE OF SHOWERS
AFTER MIDNIGHT.

Be careful getting out of the HOR, the west gap might not be bad but stay away from the east gap with a dropping tide....

Tried to fish North Shore today, WAAAAYYYYY too big.
Like 10-12' coming in blowing the wash like 25' in the air.
Never seen anything like it here.
Later,
Rick

Watched a guy throwing a crippled herring into those 15 footers last night and he pulled out a 48" FORTY pounder. A real slob of a fish. Did it on 14# test line that literally had 5 pounds of seaweed hanging off of it- every five feet!
Those waves can be intimidating but if you use the right approach, there are some large in them.
