Forecast
Anyone have any inisght on the forecast, I saw 15-20knts with gusts to 30 and seas 4-7ft for buzzards bay and vineyard sound for Saturday. I never know when to believe them or not, and it sucks to find out they were wrong or to drive the 90 miles to the boat and have it blowin a gale on a day that was suppose to be 5-10knts.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day ...
show him where to fish and ... you'll be sorry

The forecast sucks. I will be shore bound and there are big fish where I want to be.

Check the actual for the wind tonight, and if the local weather stations have have had wind all night, it will be messy tommorow. Nantucket Sound was not supposed to be that windy this afternoon and it just seemed to pick up, when it should be laying down(5pm). The other thing is the offshore swell from Helene.

The swell is up, saw a few actually breaking east of paradise on the bar in 15' of water and heard some were cresting on Old Man. A small boat capsized off Wasque, the current is cranking and the tide changed like a lightswitch last night. Last night it just broke thru katama in 3 places and the beach was eroded at the point.
Don't go out this weekend unless you have a death wish. Wait till tuesday.
Any of those guys on CH fishing the southside are going to have their "taints" handed to them on Sunday.

Thanks for the update Sandman.
Glad I didn't make the trip, Gay head and the south side was my destination with an over-night in Menemsha. Sounds like we would have gotten our a$$e$ kicked. There will be more weekends before it's over, but duck season opens soon...... decisions-decisions

Freak I was pissed when I woke to see no wind at all. I could have had at least 4 hours to fish but decided to bag it since I would have gone by myself and would have been tough to fish and drive the boat amongst the pots and other boats with rough conditions. You snooze you loose and I lost. P.
