tagged bass
i caught and released a 26" bass last night that had a tag on it. i kept the tag. the tag had been chaffing the bass for quite a while cause it was pretty raw. just wondering if anyone else has been getting any tagged fish? will share the info when i get it back.

Redcrbbr,
I sent in a tag, last year to the http://www.americanlittoralsoc.org/tag.htm
They sent me a patch of a yellow fish you would want to put on a young boy's fishing vest.
Not what I expected to receive.

Redcrbber, my wife got one in Boston Harbor last year from the Littoral Society. I posted similar thread about how the tag had collected a bunch of seaweed and was severely irritating the bass' back.
It was punched all the way thru the back and the two tag ends were tied together.
I was a bit po'd cause if they are trying to help the fish, they should figure out a way to tag 'em without hurting them. The holes had healed up, but the weight of the weed had reopened and the back was all raw where tag and weed was laying.
It was only going to get worse, so I'm glad we got it and removed the tag.

Don't be too hard on the Litoral society. They just send you tags, Its fellow fisherman doing the tagging.
