I think I remeber seeing on the Zeebaas site somewhere you can get custom engraving on the side plate. Maybe they would be kind enough to put the SB logo on the side plate for John once this is done.

I'm planning on coming by the striperfest for a litle while. If you don't meet up with me there you can just mail the check or use paypal. I think we are getting very close (in commitment money). As of this post, we have about $400 collected. My spreadsheet is on my work computer so I'll have a better update for you all tomorrow.
Also, the idea of getting it ingraved is a great one. I'm sure we'll be able to figure something out.

If we don't collect enough for a Zeebaas, could we just go with an engraved VS, and if possible an extra spool?
Thanks for organizing this, by the way.

OK here is where we stand at the moment. $510 Collected so far with $864.99 in commitment.
Come on, we are so close! Just a little more. I know we can do it. I am very impressed with everyone that bucked up and donated. We just need a couple more people to join in and we'll be there.

SluggoSlinger -
Great job on pulling this together ... I would imagine that you will get an abundance of money for John's reel in the next few days. Thanks for all of your efforts.

From ZeeBass
"Steve
Let me know how you want the name engraved. We typically do this on the side of the body opposite gear cover. It will be laser engraved, and I will have this done at no additional cost. Just let me know if you want the titanium grey
Or satin black color.
Rob"
I've recieved $680 so far so we are really close. Just keep it coming. As soon as all the money is hear, we'll put up a post and you guys can decide on what it will say.
Thanks again everyone. This has been allot of fun to organize.

Surflawyer's reel comes with TWO spools where the std kit has ONE spool. The reel direct from then is a "savings" of $26.00 and JohnR would get two spools and a low serial number as well !
|
I agree with Ray. I didn't realize you edited the lead post with an offer from Zeebass.
Maybe we should stick with the original plan, and maybe surflawyer could drop his price a bit and we'll get the reel and the spare spool from him like what was the original thought.
good job everyone

I posed this question to John and he would like to get the one direct from the factory.
John is the boss so I am following his wishes since this is for him.

Believe Mikey's money when it's in your hand!!!
He owes me about $700 in "joint" presents that we have bought for people.
He did buy me some cool ice fishing stuff last year for Xmas, though...that was pretty generous.
PS-Mikey my birthday is two weeks from today.
$40 sent via Paypal today.
Love You John,
Rick
