Things You Love That People Do When You Are Fishing!
OK....this thread should be fun!
One of my favorites is when you are fishing along a sandy beach and someone walks directly behind your cast instead of walking a bit further behind you when they pass so as not to get hooked by the backcast of a lure holding 3 trebles!!!!

Bringing the kiddies to the water's edge while you are there casting/fishing to through friekin rocks in the water. And there were no rocks around so they had to cart them to the beach from somewhere else.

My favorite is when a guy walks upto you, real friendly like, makes light
conversation for awhile as you continue to fish, then casts right by your
side while talkin.

I'm not a fan of car headlights left on for way too long, a beam shinning over the water, with me cursing, shouting--"Turn your #@% headlights off."

When someone lets the dog off the leash to go swimming, making no attempt to keep the dog from getting in my line. One lady threatened to send me the vet bill when her pooch got hooked. Hey lady, see the sign over there that says "All dogs must be leashed"?
Or, back when I fished chunks, dog eats a pint of clams or whatever and owner doesn't even say sorry

Fishing and you feel like you being watched, you look around and see a truck in the distance, next thing you catch a fish and the guy that was watching you with spy glasses and 3 of his friends are all around you. fishing in your spot.

I was fishing a public beach at dusk with Mr Striper, when this guy lets his dog off the leash. It took about 30 seconds to find Mr Stripers tackle bag and pee all over it. I was crackin up....

Somehow everyone that I run into that is not fishing always asks, "Are the stripers runnin?" They say this all year round so it's not like their in tune with spring/fall runs.

That is my most hated quote......"Are they runnin?"......I hate the term...it sounds quite newby if you ask me!! Seems only non-fishermen use the term!

I hate brothers that look just like you and say that they are a better fisherman.
I hate sandeel mustaches.
Crab-claw pipes!
My all time serious gripe is throwing a tennis ball right into my spread so Fido can "go fetch."
Also boats that troll in close so they can cut us off.
Seals!
Mung!
The guys who tell you that they were catching five minutes ago.
Hooks in hands.
Oh the list goes on!
Later,
Bitter Rick

the fish running question..
my buddy Doug's answer to that is:
"Running?.. Get out!.. I can get 'em on land?.. And I been wasting all this time tryin to haul 'em out of water.. Jeeesh!.. Who Knew?.. I thought they f****in' swam.. Hey..thanks for tellin me they run.. now I know!"
Usually about have way thru this.. they get the big picture.. and scoot.
Pretty much the same as above.. light shiners.. spot watchers, and jumpers.. and the ones that watch, (like Bob said), then hit their cell phones when the guys that have been fishing start to catch.. and their buds all come after the call...and jump in your shoes..

All the above plus any other not yet mentioned covers it for me.
Walked up path to a beach, to be met by 2 unleashed dobermen's a month ago in RI - just about <sh:t> in my waders... owner called dogs back, good thing they obeyed.
The famous question, goin fishin ? most usually meets with a wisea$$ comment, unless i'm in a good mood .
I still have good peripheral vision, so i always look forward to setting up for a cast when the "too close shorewalker" gets about 10 ft. from me, they always move off when staring 3/0s in the face.

I hate when I'm flyfishing in current and someone drifts a chunk right down in front of me. And when someone sees me releasing fish and asks if they can have it.

After the mutt pees on your bag and the owner smirks the dog then tries to pee on a fish you have laying there. "If your mutt pees on my dinner, you're yaking a dead dog home" Scooby gets hauled away fast. And the folks who just drop the leash as if the dog just got away. If they're anywhere near the Race I tell them to get ahold of Fluffy , I just saw coyotes. They'll eat your dog, you know. The look of horror is priceless.

i love fishing a spot that has fish moving back and forth on a beach...and watching someone racing down in full fishing regalia with waders on running up and down the beach trying to cast into the blitz to only realize after a half hour of intense aerobic excercise all sweaty and red-faced that the fish are all over the place and not just in the blitz....
