War Movies
Not to confuse the truth and honor of Veterans Day with the glam and script of Holywood, but what are your favorite War Movies?
I find myself now watching Tora, Tora, Tora - which for some reason I find on TV every November or December. This is also the frst one I can remember watching as a kid on Dad's lap.
Other favorites to name a few:
The Band of Brothers series
The Longest Day
Midway
What are your favorites?

There are many well made war movies. One I like is; Go Tell the Spartans starring Burt Lancaster and covers the early days of the Vietnam conflict. If you haven't seen it, make it a point to. You won't be disappointed.

Tora Tora Tora ! is an amazing film....
Not really a "war" picture, but Leni Reifenstahl's "Triumph of the Will" is one pretty powerful documentary/propaganda film....

Not to big on war movies but I really liked Gettysburg.Good actors and accurate account of the battle.I also liked Andersonville. As much as I can't stand Ted Turner his Civil War efforts have proved to be well done and accurate.

Ah good call on the Andersonville movie. My great great great grandfather died in Andersonville, he's buried in Andersonville cemetery.

Maybe I missed it but nobody said "Platoon." I'm sure I missed it... Also, Full Metal Jacket and Flags of our Fathers. Band of Brothers is the best IMO...
