If you could duplicate

one day of fishing in your life what would it be?

11/11/97, light NE wind , 3-4ft surf with plenty of wash, drizzle, water gin clear.
Bass 26-48", blues 10-15# starting at 9:30 am. Peanuts trying to run up the dunes to escape,
birds diving at your feet, fish on every cast no matter wood, plastic or metal,
poles bent as far as you could see down the beach. No time to eat or drink just catch.
Left them biting at 4:30 pm. too tired to make another cast.
A day,and time ,etched in my mind forever.

Just keeps ya comin back.

Few nights ago.........calm waters in the inlet, first of the outgoing current.Fish solid for three hours on just about every cast (lob would be a better description)
Longest cast 15 yards...smallest fish 20lb.....all on eel skinned metal lip swimmer.
Being the only person there...
Next night wasn't much different then the full moon came and killed it

The day I got my grandfather to come out with my dad and I.

He had always fished in Boston harbor with little luck catching stripers. He is almost 85 years old, so hes not into plugs very much anymore (he was the one who started my collection) so he'd just put bait out there in the harbor. a few years back he caught a small schoolie one day and he was so excited. About 2 years ago his boat broke and he was done fishing for the time being. This is when i had began to pic up the sport and tried my luck up in Maine. When my dad and I found there were big fish out there we knew that my grandpa needed to come and fish

We set up a date and he drove from reading to kennebunkport with his rod and reel. There we were, 3 generations knee deep in chilly saltwater, all fishing together. We all ended up getting big stripers, but that didn't seem to matter to any of us. It is a day i think i will remember for the rest of my life.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
