Dead lures
If you had to have a lure to fish with that they didnt make anymore, or was hard to get, what would it be?
Giant Creek Chub Pikie?
Jointed Danny?
Floyd Roman Nike?
5 1/4oz Gibbs Pencil?
Masterlure Eel?
Me personally wouldn't mind finding a mother load of Jointed Danny's.

Gibbs darters without the stepped head.
Gibbs bottles with the old-style heads.
Sinking 3-1/2 oz Polarises (they "swam" better on a slow retrieve).
The 5-1/4 oz pencils were more of a niche item, for the Canal. I'd rather have them bring back the "Canal Special" now that the Hawg-man has passed on, if it was a choice of one or the other. The Canal Special was a 7" pencil popper that had a flat, planed bottom and a little extra weight at the rear for a better cast. They weighed 3-1/8 oz rather than the 2-3/4 oz standard 7" PP.
Since I live in Beachmaster territory, I don't miss the jointed Danny, jointed Pikie or even the Atom 40 that much.

The old Gibbs plugs made by Gibbs himself! I was very partial to the larger Polaris and pencils includeing the 5 1/4 oz.

I made a couple of those Tattoo, they catch bluefish but I'm sure they would get stripers in the canal now.
I made some small captain bills swimmers for nor_easter and he got a bass over 40 on it with the plug standing up inside the mouth and just a barb sticking in the tongue he released it since it did not drown.
I'd add those to my list , large popper, small swimmer and large swimmer. Capt. Bills work well. Also Atom p-40

actually, it is not a skin plug. the lure is retreived to the left. it is a Norris Jet Squid. by the way, if anyone has one just "laying" around, i have a place reserved on the wall for it!

plugs plugs and more plugs
I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of the flaptail or giant pikie... That and the thinner profiled goo goo swimmers. they look so nice in the water.
