Thumbs up MDA Tourney - October 18,19,20

OK - I have had several people inquiring about the MDA Shore Tourney out of Weekapaug B&T coming up in 2 weeks. S-B will pay the entry fee and field a team for this tourney so I'm wondering who can participate.

The meat of the tourney is just that, meat ... The team with the heaviest combined 3 bass and 3 blues winds. This is not an individual but a team tourney... I'll put the details down below...

There is also a breakfast on Sunday at the Andrea Hotel, let me know if you might do that so I can get a # out...

Thanks,

John

I am w/CSA but...

I don't think I can fish it this year. Have a surprise B-day party Sat. night, but I may try and get up there after the party and hook up w/some of my buds. If anything fish a few hours and go to the breakfast thingy. Hopefully meet some you guys on this website.

I can fish on Friday night if anybody is game for that. Saturday will be tough, I'll be out of town most of the day, and I'm not sure what time I'll be back.

John, I'll be there Sat. and Sun. A.M. and would like to go to the breakfast. If I can put a flopper in the basket for Striped-Bass that would be good too. See you there and good luck to All.

Red face Hey Rich R.

your rods are right where I left them about a week ago! You better bring em inside before I "hide" them.

Rich, I don't think I can swing it....but if I go I will give you a heads up. At best I would only be able to do the early Sunday morning thingy. Depends how much partying goes on the night before! I will be in touch.

I am planning on fishing tonight for the MDA tourny and was wondering if anybody else is also. If so, maybe we can meet somewhere and plan our attack. I am planning on starting around 10 pm.

Hope to see some of you tonight!

John, do we have any size standards as a team. I'm guessing a 30" fish won't place in this tourney but you never know. We killin everything legal? I will be at C-town Breachway around 11:00pm(yellow raincoat/orange Grundens). I'll give you a ring if I hook into one.

Hey Chris, bug the kids alot and they'll get better just to get away from ya...

Scotch... Tough call but I'd say a 30" fish wouldn't be good for the tourney. It's a team tourney where the largest 3 fish (bass or blue) of the team are added up...

I usually wouldn't keep a 30" fish for any reason, unless I could not revive it...

Might see you out there

Well, met up with Carl, Jenn, anf the non-bloo crab at Weeky last night. Carl & I hit one spot while Jenn & Red hit another. Sacrificed an eel to the bluefish gods at spot #1 (was way too late in tide for my taste). Carl went on to hit another spot on his way home and I headed east where I managed one 12 pound fish on the first drift, released hoping for bigger but that was it there...

Heading back late afternoon... Anyone else do anything?

Tattoo, you going to be where I think you are going to be? I'd like to drive one of those darters at a couple choice spots tonight
