Weekend Plans??
OK - time for weekend plans! This is crunch time in 'lil Rhody and the Cape - my mentors have always told me that the big bass will typically push thru in waves this time of year so you can find a wave or find a lot of very little...
So this weekend has the last leg of the Tri-State Tourney with a lot of MA/RI/ME surf clubs battling for top honors - out of weekapaug. This weekend also has "the other site" (I just wanted to say that ) with a fling down around Weekapaug, plus all the other anglers in southern NE heading to , yep, you guessed it, Weekapaug and surrounds for a crack at some bass - hopefully the rain will put a damper on some of the crowds but not the fishing....
Me? I hope to get out Sat am or Sun am at least. I've got some "Honey-Doos" to get done this weekend and want to hang with my son but I also want to wet a line too...
So what's your plans for the weekend?

Have an appointment with some Bass this afternoon, then the fishing is over for me for this week.
Play with kids, help dad swap his bathroom with his laundry room (my mom is a little crazy with half the house ripped apart), stack firewood.

Went out for a couple hours last night and did not have a touch. Saw one other wet-suiter and he did not have a touch either. It was a nice night though, nearly perfect conditions.
I have my friday night squid fishing date with the boys and then I will head to chappy with a doz fresh eels and a few of my new Tatoo darters. I made a few casts with one of them last night and they are very sweet indeed. Perfect for working near surface. I love 3 oz floating plugs that cast, swim and look great... I had to turn my light (a rare event for me) on just to watch it in the water near my feet.
I heard there was a little blitz of fish the other day at the drawbrige..25lbers at dusk and heard guys were pulling off the road to fish. (everyone has a rod in their car)
I was thinking of heading over to cutty this weekend and stalking those guys but I have to pick up my new truck tomorrow morning. I am sure they will score big and look forward to their report.
Hope you guys all catch a large this weekend. This is the time to do it.

Indoor painting, patching, sanding etc, but Sunday me thinks I will be headed towards CT for a day on the boat. Winding down for the season, don't care about catching the big one, just want to get a few more good days out in the boat before I have to break out the woolies and 2000 gram thinsilate boots .

I think I'll be able to finish Clamdiggers rod this weekend. I tried to talk Smokey into hitting the beach tomorrow afternoon for some easy blitz fishing (sit and wait for the blitzes to come by! )and the SOL barbecue but he's tied up so I'll probably stay home.
Got my red Pick up truck running again and did the brakes and had it inspected today so maybe I'll get it washed and waxed for the first time in 3 years!

Heading towards the Ditch around noon and give it one more shot. This may be it for me but who knows.
