Sorry for the heartache, but the bright note is no one was hurt. You did not mention it. The devastation that a fire brings to your personal life, is horendous. Words can't describe.

Best of luck in the re-building process. At least everything is lined up and you shouldn't have to deal with any bull.

Hey Steve ,,, just talking to someone this happened too .. Mac was there also .. He said no problem the insurance company paying off on the building . They cut him a check with in a week .. Contents was another story . They said could take up to 3 months .. He hired a guy that went thru the burnt up stuff and for a percentage ,,I want to say ten . The guy wrote up all the items and pushed the paper work thru .. He said it was well worth it because the guy put every little tiny thing down .. The guy was pricing a pound of 16d nails at HD to put on the list .. ask Mac .

Exclamation John R and Capesams

Is there a fundraiser in order here? ..... plug and tackle raffle. Don`t know if this is appropriate but I would donate.

Mike

Good health and family

This sucks Steve. I wish you the best of luck in rebuilding and hope all turns out well (as much as can be expected under the circumstances) for you.

With alot of phone calls,,hand shaking and thank you's . We moved into our new temp. shop[bare] ..going shopping today for for some larger pcs of equipment must have to keep going...///dug up all my coffee cans in the back yard/// but what the heck..can't take it with you...support from everyone has been great.sure takes the bite out of this mess.

the only thing that I'll miss is my grandfathers bandsaw...it was well over 100 years old...I remember as a kid standing there watching him cutting out profiles of shore birds so he could carve them into life like birds.

just wondered... i know they're treating you well....

I'm sure it does...had pockets that the wheel shafts sat/layed in that were made of lead, that had to be oiled all the time. it was also a left cutting table..backwards of what they are today...30" wheels an cast iron one pc frame..even though its twisted and sagging,, I'm still going to hang onto it....once I can get to it.

Just thinking about it gives me a knot in my gut. Hang tough, everything that's truly irreplaceable is still breathing.

Sucky mcsuckalot. I'd offer you tools or rebuilding help, but I think I have a couple pieces of sandpaper and I built a shelf in wood shop in high school this one time... Suffice to say sorry bout your luck.
