Question about Striper Cup weigh in??

I know to have a fish weighed in officially by IGFA standards, one must have a witness to the fish being caught. Do the same rules apply to this tourny?? I ask this because I'd say I do about 50-60% of my fishing solo. If I happen to catch a hog on one of these solo trips, do I even bother wieghing it in??

It doesn't need to be witnessed to be weighed in....just bring it to a weigh station and you should be all set

Here's the link for the rules..
Not really sure what ur question is..
They do have to be weighed at a tackle shop that is listed as a tourney weigh station for the team points an individual honors/prizes.I they require a length as well as weight. An there is a form to fill out an sign.Nothing like the inquisition that u go thru to list a IGFA candidate. There are many weigh shops in each state an this yr will bring more on board, they are also listed on the site..They have a new catch an release format that is for the pins only.Which is good for some. Not sure I give much merit to a fish that does not hit the scale though..

NIB, when I fish the Cape, I usually go down with my wife, and most of the night fishing I do is by myself. I know to get recognition from the state you must have someone witness you catch the fish. I just wondered if the same rules apply for the tourny. I think TDF answered my question, but thanks for the additional info. How you guys doing in Jersey??

OTW states..... • Angler’s are allowed to enter and weigh only one (1) fish per week

My question is, what days of the week does it start and end, last year I got jipped at the local tackle shop.
