I change mine every season regardless of the condition. I also hang one of those big "fish zinks" over the side with a cable to boat ground when the boat is at the dock.
When at montauk I saw a big boat get hauled because the owner was complaining of a vibration and poor control. One rudder was gone and the other looked like swiss cheese. The strut and prop were also badly eroded. It does not take that long if you are at a problem dock ...esp with guys charging their batteries all the time.

Bill and Dave should put their show on the road. You guys could make good dough! Good to see Dave off the couch too!
I got zincs done, plastic thru hulls out for sizing (going with SS), new tilt switch ordered, bottom painted, and hull waxed. Still have to finish stripping off the Grady striping and logo off one side. Into Boston to pay sales tax and register one day this week. R2D2 will get splashed by the weekend!
Clammer, where did you get that brown paint for the boot stripe???

Yeah, I'm getting there little by little, still can't do any lifting and I'm a little slow bending, still pretty sore at times but I'm hopeful I'll be back to normal again some day. I got Billy to do all the bull work..
