acid rain
i dont know about any of you but i noticed this morning after the heavy rains we had yesterday that my boat trailer had a light layer of red rust on it. It been rained on millions of time and has never had this happen. Then when i got to my truck i noticed that some of my lures that were laying in the back of my truck had the same layer of rust on the hooks. Then when i got to work today, there was rust over everything outside.
I wonder if acid rain is monitored, because I am certain that this is a result of a nasty batch last night.
take a look around outside and you may notice the same things i did.
good think i waxed the vehicles the other day.

I didn't test last night's rain, but the rain around here is usually slightly acid. I used to collect it for some tropical fish that liked very soft water.

Strong Easterly wind, plus you're sort of on the coast. Maybe it's just slightly salty rain water.
The brakes on my car are always the measuring stick I use for how much blow off there was from the ocean.
The discs looked like I hadn't moved in a month after that rain.

Before the auto manufacturers began clear-coating we repainted hundreds of acid rain damaged cars. Sometimes it would leave discolored spots on the rooves, hoods and trunks. Look closely at your windshields, you'll see acid spots in the glass. Now THAT'S scary!
