Thats a cool plug. Who made that?

all is well after sitting for 3 1/2 hrs in the er for my tetnus shot. the er doc told me he switched all his hooks to stainless steel single tail hooks, no rust and easier to remove.
glad you all enjoyed the pic! Nine more toes left.

I had that happen to my thumb while the front treble hooks were holding a 28 inch striper!!! While holding the fish in one hand I crushed the barb of the hook the best I could and then yanked it out with a pair of pliers!!! Hurt like H$#$!!! Put a bandaid on it and with big fish all around I just kept on fishing!!! OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

here is the thing that gets me.. not only were you able to stay level headed enough to get it out, AND save the hook. but you were also level headed enough to say "hunny go get the camera! the s-b guys will love this!"

and ouch. luckily the only time i ever hooked my self was with a small fly.

Did you give the plug a Tetanus shot?

A few years ago I was mating an Ave Maria charter, while trying to grab a frigin dogfish by the back of the head, I put one of the hooks of a 3/0 treble on a deep diver through one of my fingers.
What hurt like hell was the frigin dogfish swinging all over the place, still hooked to the deep diver, and the hook through my finger.
Capt Mike was quick with his Van Staal priers to cut the hook.
I cut the hook closer , pushed it the rest of the way through, put a band aid on and went back to fishing!
I think a remember the people on the charter tipped pretty good that day !

Happened to me out on the reef at Weakapaug a few years ago. 14# bass hanging off my index finger. I was alone and it was in the middle of the night. I kept saying, What do you do now?" I just hugged the bass to my chest with the arm that had the hooked hand and ripped the hook out with the other one. Never forget it. The plug was a 7" chicken scratch bomber.

No boat, back in the suds.
