My wife graciously purchased a Shimano Sustain 400 reel for me yesterday. You might ask how I know this, since Santa has yet to arrive? To make sure Bev purchased the right reel I did it for her, nice person that I am. Oh by the way John I checked with one of our sponsers and he no longer carries the Sustains. I just wanted you to know I tried to deal with SB's supporters.

This is my first foray away from Penn. I am sure I'll find it well-worth the trip.

Actually... Nothin'. But... I wouldn't mind a bookcase (or the skills to build one) for all the fishin' books I've been reading / collecting!

We are going to FLA for a week (no fishing). Should be a nice break though!

Happy Holidays!

My neoprenes look like several tubes of liquid rubber exploded on them, but considering they are now probably 10 years old, I guess they don't owe me anything. I don't know which way to go, with another pair of those Cabela's neoprenes or go breathable and some nice fleece long jones, probably the later since they will be more versitle.

BREATHABLE!!!!

Best / Most comfortable I've ever used... Might even stop you from bitchin' about long walks out at Chatham ...

Really - they are great. I always heard people saying how much better they were but I just didn't believe until I got a pair, and they've lasted thru Cutty, Weekapaug, Gansett, and all these other rocky places... Get the stocking foot/wader boots combo...

Believe it or not , there is no fishing stuff on my Christmas list I got so much last year and didn't get to use much of it that this year I'm all set without buying anything!

Last year , 4 brand new reels ---unused.

Still have about 30 unused gibbs lures from year they changed hands and I loaded up before they were sold.

About 100 8 inch curltail grubs.

Fifty GS megajerk or super jerks etc in all sizes

Still working off the 1400 jigs we made two seasons ago. Might actually neeed to make some more 3 OZ balls. My guess is that there is no tackle shop anywhere with more jigs than me. including bare and fully tied bucktails. Only need is for some skin jigs and guess what , people buy them from me and Smokey.

I have at least 4 dozen teasers all brand new that i made or swapped for.

3-600 yard boxes of Spectron

I won or was given about 10 nice plugs last year including poppers , swimmers , darters

I have an IOU for waders from my birthday last summer.

Obviously I'm not buying any more rods....ever!

I have a bucket with about 50 atom poppers in it.

The only thing I use all year that I am not already loaded with are mombo minnows. I 'll get a few at the MSBA Show.

Sooo , I guess its new pants and some kitchen knives for Christmas!

I want tons of stuff...most of which I really don't need or even ...have-to-have. I am pretty materialistic but when I think about it I get most of my happieness from stuff that costs nothing (directly)

All I really need is continued good health, and a happy healthy family and a decent broadband connection .. oh yeah..A couple cow bass now and then to keep life interesting is the icing on the cake. I wish the same for all of you.

May the peace of Christmas and Girls of "Fish-On" decend upon you this holiday season.hohoho

Most of the Spectron is canal size John , 50 lb. My guess is you want 35 lb. I believe that all of the 50 lb even is already spoken for by me and Smokey and Dave L and Steve L. I'll let you know if we have any extra but I doubt it.

179 - who is making a 150 4 stroke?

You see Dgelzer's Regulator 23 before? SCHWEET: http://www.gelzersportfishing.com/

& you can have the next 100mill drawing. I won't be so greedy by settling for tonights $80,000,000

Saltheart - I was really only kidding about the line but I have been thinking about the plunge... Anyone (MikeCC) have any spare Mag Elite spools?

The 35 lb Spectron goes great with a 6500 size reel.

John,
Whoops on the 150hp 4-strokes, make it a pair of 140's LOL. The link you posted to the 23' Regulator doesn't seem to be working, I'd love to see the boat. I love my Scout, but if money wasn't an issue i'd have that Regulator in my driveway....

BTW: whichever company offers up the 150-175 4-strokes first is going to make a killing......
