Big Jointed

I built this for a friend, he fishes PIKE an asked if I could do something. well this is what I came up with, havent weighted it Yet. it's 1"1/8 round head is 3" orange cat eye,body is 6" an tail is 6" overs sized hooks, SS screw eyes, 80lb split rings, hand carved, rattle can painted. you get the first look see, an comments. it's my FIRST one, an suggestion for another would be greatfull.

Very nice color scheme. I'd probably put the hook in the front half to keep the head from rolling out. Have you tested it? How'd it do?

Do you do your handcarves from blocks or dowels.? Which wood are you using?
Suggestion for future one.. Can I have it ?

numbskull, thank you, my fault I was in a rush to post it I forgot to put one on. taking my grandaughter freshwater fishing Monday. Ill take it for a SWIM. maby the next one will be ROUNDNOSE W/ LIP.
here it is now w/front hook.

johnny ducketts, both, pine, oak, ceder, what ever I can get. if you want one, Ill SWAP ?

Took it for a swim, it lays in the water nice,the water rests where the BLACK starts on the back. started w/ a slow retrieve the TAIL started to swim then a little faster an the back started BUT not much. it is SNAKEY looking in the water it should get eaten by some hungry PIKIE
will be on it's way NORTH this week.
