TUNA...finaly!
Well, after trying all summer to land a tuna in our boat, it finaly happens! Get out to SW corner at sunrise this morning, birds EVERYWHERE, but no tuna, and no one hooks up at all. We had our fish hit at 730am. We were by our selfs, no birds not nothing around us, fish hits takes 200 yards of line out, and i fought him, kicked his ass in 10 minutes. Dad gaffs him, and just like that we have our first tuna of the year, and MY first tuna
Fish hit a small 6in Green/black bar running about 50 feet behind the boat.
We caught the only tuna i heard of from a squid bar. On our way back in around 2 we saw TONS of 35-50 pound footballs everywhere, crashing the surface. Casted Deadly #^^^^&s, Kast masters, and Ron-z in them with no hook ups. Oh well, it was awsome day!
52 inches...about 75 pounds.

Things done at the last possible minute are done with the greatest possible information. Procrastination is, therefore, the most efficient means of doing things.

Great angle on that first picture. The fish looks bigger then you are.
Congratulations on your first fish out there. Like a lot of other fisheries, once you catch your first your confidence and catch rate goes up rapidly.
