Stand on shore and wait till the blues blitz them. They'll jump right out of the water onto shore, then you can pick em' up with your hands. Or you can snag them with a treble as already mentioned. There was an article in Sept. OTW magazine that showed a rig for snagging and dropping them.

(use the rubber band) snagging with Pogies and then using them

Its been a while, since, seeing the jumbo pogies in the Parker River.
If you find them (pogies), there is sure to be feeding bassesses, nearby, day or night. And you would be a very fortunate bass hunter.

Advise that you have a small bundle of rubber bands.

Sooo..., when you snag 'one' the urge is to 'put' it in play quickly!! Dont!! ......Instead.

Get that fella 'in' and put a 'rubber' over it and then, quickly, 'put' it in play .

When them bassesses 'bunt' that pogie ; it'll stay on your hook. Because them bassesses do really 'whack' it.

A rubberband can increase your chances of not getting it 'bunted away'.

Then, you'll have 'em.
