I was curious about that as I haven't been there in several years in the tin boat. Might have to take an excursion up that way.

If this weekends storm lives up to it's build, what's going to happen here?

That point has already migrated about 100 yards north. The small camp was taken down and the bigger one probaly won't last the weekend.

I just got off the phone with a friend who was out on Nauset this afternoon...as of 4 pm the front side of the beach had a two to four foot drob...as in cut/eroded...and the storm si still not really effecting the surf yet

Only good bit of info is that the storm will pass very quickly

I'm pretty sure we had the big storm last year (pretty much to the day)
that did the damage to the chatham cut.
I remember it well , because my buddy couldn't have his boat hauled out in time , the boat stayed on his mooring in front of Chatham Bars Inn about 50-60 ft off the beach, bildge pumps kept up as long as they could, batteries died, boat went down stern 1st
He got the call from the harbor master during the night
He called me and we headed down !
I saw him today and we had a laugh about it !

drove past chatham light this am, but no where to park.
saw a commercial boat washed up on the backside of nauset in across from the fish pier. not more then 20 yards away was an intact roof. i knew then that at least one of those places didn't make it.

a few more years and they will all be gone..
