Best Rod 100-150? Tica, Lami SK, Tsu, Okuma?

Tica Dolphin vs. Lami SK vs. Tsunami Airwave vs. Okuma EVX

Anyone try an EVX? They have a lifetime warranty and I can't seem to find much on them.

Looking for a versitle rod that can cast at least 6 oz jigs or bait. 11' -12'

Thanks!

You should contact mikecc directly. He is a sponsor and he certainly won't steer you wrong.

I lost track of all the rods out there a while ago, but someone had a 1209 for sale in the classifieds within the last week, that rod can cast almost anything you can lift.

In that price range.Quarrow hands down.Nothing else beats it for price and quality.Lifetime warranty.

St.Croix Triumph ain't bad(5yr warranty).Then the Tica dolphin.

Quarrow.Btw did I say Quarrow?

http://quarrow.com/saltwater_specs.htm

Missed the 11'-12' requirement.Best of luck in your price range for a stick of that size.

Thanks for the replies. I'll look into Quarrow (never heard of 'em)- 10'6" is pretty close to 11', so maybe.
Mike, a 1209 custom for 150??? Umm, yeah I like the sound of that. Where, how, when?

I have heard but do not have personal experience that the bass pro shop ocean master fits that bill.

Thanks for the replies. I have even more to think about now- lol
I think I'm going to take a ride to M&D's right after the holiday. Mike, it looks like you carry a lot of the rods I'm interested in, plus custom stuff. See you soon.

The Quarrow is a great choice....used one last time I was at Cutty and it was a great rod....threw a pencil a mile

Wish I could still say Quarrow but they discontinued 90% of the series last year.
Out of 19 different types of rods we ordered from Quarrow last year we only got 3. The company is all f*#@*d up right now & the Rep is a joke.

Thats too bad, great rod for the money. The one you sold me a while back has been my go to rod ever since.

Personally I'd go tica and spend the extra money on jigs, they are also a great rod for the money. Its winter, so you could always take your time and look for a used rod in the classifieds.
